LA Lakers won Game 3: Celtics lead series 2-1

Boston at Los Angeles Lakers (9 p.m. EDT). The Lakers cut the NBA finals series deficit to 2-1 with an 87-81victory in Game 3 on Tuesday night. Kobe Bryant, Lakers, scored 36 points as Los Angeles cut Boston’s NBAfinals lead to 2-1 with an 87-81 victory.

While Ray Allen scored 25 points – his second-best game this postseason – but Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett combined for just 19 points as Boston lost Game 3 of the NBA finals Tuesday night, 87-81 to the Lakers. The Celtics lead the series 2-1. Pierce, who scored 50 in the first two games, managed just six points on 2-for-14 shooting.
