Miss Japan Won Miss Universe 2007

Among the 77 contestants from different countries, Riyo Mori of Japan crowned as Miss Universe 2007 ! Ms. Mori is 20 years-old and has been dancing since she was 4. She loves traveling the world and enjoys visiting museums and watching musicals.

Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from 77 countries around the world competed in three categories: swimsuit; evening gown; and personality interview. Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006, crowned her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast, before an estimated worldwide viewing audience of more than 1 billion in over 170 countries.

Before Miss Japan won, from 77 candidates, they were brought down to top 15 which includes, then down to 10 and 5. Fourth Runner-Up is Miss USA, Third Runner-UP Miss Korea, Second Runner-Up Miss Venezuela, and First Runner-UP Miss Brazil. Special awards was also given to Miss Philippines as Miss Congeniality and Miss China.

  3. Miss Phil. was way too confident.. talk about straight, direct answers on the interview, perhaps the judges see her as an arrogant ass rather than being smart.. btw, great photo of Miss Japan.. she sizzles! πŸ˜€
